The Geodome at Control, Leeds
Immersive Precision were enlisted to provide specialist technical services during the installation of Control Nightclub, a 3000 capacity state of the art event space in Leeds. This included providing a Project Manager, Electronic Engineer and a large team of skilled install technicians to construct the Geodome, a custom designed Geodesic dome lined with thousands of individually controllable pixel mapped LEDs. Jim Albentosa, Owner of Control and Taking Liberties Group, designed the Geodome himself, the first of its kind, and carefully chose a strong team of contractors to deliver the project to a tight dealine. Immersive Precision were chosen to deliver a fast and efficient service, with only 8 days available to install the LED equipment, whilst maintaining an uncompromised attention to detail. The system was installed in-situ due to the complicated nature of the steel structure, so required a range of access equipment and a large team of technicians. The rig uses hundreds of metres of custom LED pixel tape, a control rack of art-net nodes and a Madrix control system.
